Using the Exivity, Exivity Core and Hypermeter names

One company, two products, and one phrasing for each. This page exists so that correct usage is the path of least resistance for anyone writing a datasheet, a listing or a press release. Copy from it freely.

Three entities, one form each

Exivity Core turns consumption into a charge your billing process can use. Hypermeter turns cost into a number you can defend.

If you see one of these, replace it

Stated explicitly so it is usable by someone copy-editing a deck. Search your material for each left-hand form.

  • Exivity HypermeterHypermeter, built by ExivityThe company name and product name written together. The single largest source of the confusion; it originates in partner material.
  • Hypermeter powered by ExivityHypermeter, built by ExivityOne phrasing everywhere: “built by”.
  • Exivity’s HypermeterHypermeter, built by ExivityThe possessive reads as one name. Keep the company and the product as two.
  • Hypermeter by ExivityHypermeter, built by ExivitySame fix. One phrasing everywhere.
  • “Exivity” meaning the engineExivity CoreA bare “Exivity” always means the company. The engine is Exivity Core.
  • Exivity Core HypermeterHypermeter and Exivity CoreTwo products, not one compound. Name them separately.
  • Exivity Classic, Exivity Legacy, Exivity OriginalExivity CoreNothing pairs the engine with a word implying it has been superseded. It has not.

Three marks, kept apart

The company mark, the Hypermeter mark and the Exivity Core mark, each in light and dark variants. Until the logo pack is published here, ask us for it and we will send the SVG and PNG set with the clear-space diagram.

Do

  • Use the Exivity company mark for the company and the Hypermeter and Exivity Core product marks for each product.
  • Keep clear space around each mark equal to the height of its wordmark.
  • Place a mark on a plain background, light or dark, using the supplied variant for each.
  • Name the product in text next to the mark on first use: “Hypermeter, built by Exivity”.

Do not

  • Do not lock the two product logos together into a combined mark.
  • Do not lock a product mark to your own logo with a plus sign or a divider; place them apart.
  • Do not recolour, outline, stretch, rotate or add effects to a mark.
  • Do not set “Exivity Hypermeter” or any compound as the caption under a mark.
  • Do not use the company mark to mean the engine; that is the Exivity Core mark.

Who to send it to

Send any datasheet, web page, listing or press release that names Exivity or its products for a review before it goes live. The review is for the names and the claims, not the design, and it usually takes a day.

Send it through the contact page and mention it is partner material for review.

Existing material that predates the rename still says “Exivity” for the engine and is not retroactively edited; quotes stay verbatim. New material uses the names on this page.
