Exivity supports the FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification (FOCUS™), enabling organizations to work with standardized cloud cost and usage datasets across different technology providers.

FOCUS defines a common structure for billing data, helping reduce the complexity created by different cloud providers using different terminology, schemas, and formats for cost and usage information. Exivity can ingest FOCUS-compatible datasets using its FOCUS Schema Mapper Template and transform them into consistent, actionable cost information.

This standardized approach makes it easier to analyze and compare cloud costs across providers while maintaining a consistent foundation for FinOps reporting, cost allocation, showback, chargeback, and other financial management processes.

Because Exivity is data source agnostic, FOCUS data can also be combined with other cost, usage, infrastructure, customer, and business data. This enables organizations to go beyond basic cloud billing normalization and connect technology consumption with the business context required for meaningful cost management.
