How Tele2 Centralized Multi-Cloud Consumption and Billing with Exivity
Tele2 significantly reduced manual billing work for its Managed Cloud Services — especially the finance workload around Microsoft Azure — by centralizing multi-cloud usage, pricing and invoicing in Exivity across Azure NCE/CSP, Nutanix, Veeam and Genesys Cloud.
When we began our partnership with Exivity, we immediately felt like we were in good hands. Their expertise in hybrid-cloud billing gave us the confidence to start from scratch, knowing that we would have a functional solution in no time. We felt a genuine sense of partnership from the start, which made our collaboration all the more productive and effective.

Customer story
Tele2 is a Swedish telecommunications company providing connectivity, communications, network, and cloud services to consumers and businesses.
Alongside services such as mobile connectivity, fiber, IoT, security, private networks, and unified communications, Tele2's B2B portfolio includes Managed Cloud Services (MCS).
As its cloud service offering developed, Tele2 needed a more efficient way to manage consumption and billing across the different technologies supporting those services.
The MCS department had relied on manual processes and information spread across multiple channels. Exivity provided a way to bring this information together, creating a centralized environment for cloud consumption, pricing, customer reporting, and billing.
The challenge: fragmented cloud consumption and billing data
Before implementing Exivity, Tele2's Managed Cloud Services department relied on manual processes to manage cloud consumption.
Information required for tracking usage, billing, and customer deliveries was distributed across different channels and systems.
This fragmentation created additional work for both service management and finance teams. Price lists and consumption information had to be reviewed across individual data sources, while manual processing increased the possibility of duplicated information and errors.
Tele2 needed a more centralized approach that could bring consumption, customer pricing, and billing information together.
What Tele2 needed
The Managed Cloud Services team required a solution capable of:
Providing clear per-customer consumption visibility
Automating cloud billing
Delivering faster insight into cloud service usage
Consolidating information from multiple technology platforms
Centralizing price lists and invoicing information
Supporting both general and customer-specific rates
Reducing manual work for finance and service management teams
Increasing transparency around consumption and pricing
Exivity provided a common environment for bringing these different elements together.
Bringing multiple technology sources together
Tele2's services depend on data originating from several different platforms and infrastructure systems.
Exivity retrieves and processes information from technologies including:
Microsoft Azure, including Azure NCE/CSP consumption
Nutanix
Veeam
Genesys Cloud
Storage and other infrastructure systems

Instead of requiring service managers to review each source separately, Exivity brings the relevant data together and provides granular consumption reporting on a per-customer basis.
This gives Tele2 a more unified view across a technology environment that spans cloud, infrastructure, backup, storage, and communication services.
Centralizing prices and invoices
Consumption data was only one part of the challenge.
Tele2 also needed greater consistency around pricing.
By centralizing invoicing information and price lists in Exivity, teams could work from a common source rather than maintaining pricing information across disconnected processes.
Both general list prices and customer-specific rates could be managed and monitored more easily.
This increased transparency across the organization by making invoiced services and their associated prices clearer to the teams involved.
It also helped reduce the risk of internal misunderstandings, billing discrepancies, and customer disputes.
The results
Clear per-customer consumption visibility
Exivity provides Tele2 with granular reporting into cloud and infrastructure consumption on a per-customer basis.
Service managers can understand how individual customers consume the services being delivered without manually reviewing each underlying data source.
This creates a clearer connection between technical consumption and customer billing.
Automated billing
Tele2 moved away from manual billing activities toward a more automated process.
By consolidating consumption data, rates, and invoicing information, Exivity provides the foundation for automatically translating service usage into customer billing.
This reduces repetitive administrative work while creating a more consistent billing workflow.
Faster cloud usage insights
Centralizing consumption data also gives Tele2 faster access to information about how its cloud services are being used.
Rather than collecting information manually from individual platforms, relevant usage data can be processed and presented through a common reporting environment.
This enables service managers to access the information they need more efficiently.
Greater pricing transparency
Centralizing price lists and invoices created greater transparency across Tele2's Managed Cloud Services operations.
Teams can more easily understand what is being invoiced and which prices are being applied.
The ability to manage both standard list prices and customer-specific rates is particularly important in a managed service environment where different commercial agreements may apply to different customers.
Less manual work for finance
The centralized approach has significantly reduced the amount of manual work required from Tele2's finance department, particularly for Microsoft Azure consumption.
Instead of manually bringing together consumption and pricing information, more of the billing workflow can be handled through Exivity.
This saves time while reducing the administrative overhead associated with recurring cloud billing.
Supporting service managers with centralized data
The benefits extend beyond the finance department.
Previously, service managers had to manually review individual data sources to understand consumption and pricing.
With Exivity, data from the different source systems is brought together and transformed into granular customer-level reporting.
Service managers can also monitor general rates and customer-specific rates from a more centralized environment.
This gives the teams responsible for delivering cloud services a clearer understanding of both what customers are consuming and how those services are being priced.
From fragmented data to centralized multi-cloud billing
Tele2's Managed Cloud Services environment illustrates a common challenge for service providers: customer services can span many technologies, while the information needed for billing remains distributed across the systems delivering them.
Exivity gives Tele2 a centralized layer between those technology sources and the financial processes that depend on their data.
By consolidating consumption from platforms including Azure, Nutanix, Veeam, and Genesys Cloud with customer-specific pricing and invoicing information, Tele2 created a more structured approach to multi-cloud billing.
The result is automated billing, clearer per-customer consumption reporting, faster cloud usage insights, greater pricing transparency, and significantly less manual work for finance and service management teams.
