Solution Architect

Exivity is looking for a driven Solutions Architect to join our team and help to create solutions to address hybrid cloud and Enterprise IT consumption-based billing challenges. In this role, you will work on a variety of projects and will play a key part in making sure that end results meet our customer expectations.

Solutions Architect Responsibilities:

  • Operate in a multi-faceted role including elements of (script-level) implementation / engineering, Solution Architecture design and Project Management
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts, Sales Teams and Clients to determine the best hybrid cloud billing solution, using the Exivity software suite
  • Comprehend business strategies and requirements and develop necessary designs and plans to ensure Exivity solutions satisfy the customer billing and cost reporting needs
  • Act as a contributing member of the project team from project inception to completion
  • Actively listen to client problems and consider that information when creating solution plans
  • Provide advice and make decisions about which technologies would be suitable to use for various projects
  • Consistently monitor the scope of your projects, and flag (potential) risks
  • Produce high-quality hand-over documentation for customer-specific projects
  • Maintain communication with the development team, providing product feedback and working with them to resolve escalated support issues if necessary
  • Maintain an understanding of how individual work and decisions fit into the broader organizational picture
  • Keep skills updated and remain proactively aware of happenings and current events in the industry
  • Mentor, educate, and train colleagues as requested

Solutions Architect Skills:

  • Background in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in a comparable role
  • Proven history of designing and implementing innovative and effective Enterprise IT solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to explain complex technical topics in an easily digestible manner
  • Experience with databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and general system management (Windows, Linux, K8s)
  • Willingness to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with scripting languages (i.e. Powershell, Bash, Python, Perl etc)
  • Experience with on-premise infrastructure vendors (i.e. VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Microsoft, Commvault, EMC, CISCO, IBM, etc)
  • Experience with one or more public cloud vendors (i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP, etc), ideally Azure CSP / NCE
  • Willingness to travel on occasion
